Fujitsu Siemens laptop screen

Amilo 1705 laptop.

Hi all,

My daughter's laptop screen is knackered - it's only a year old, even though it was only a cheap laptop I'd have expected it to last longer, it packed up at 1 year & one week !
Any recommendations as to where I can get a new screen at a sensible price ?

Screen: temporary fix to keep using the laptop

As a temporary measure she can connect it to a conventional screen.

Alt/F4 or Alt/F5 ( I can't remember which) usually switches the computer between three modes:
laptop screen,
CRT or LCD,
and both (laptop and other together).
