full aftermarket exhaust/headers, worth doing?

on my ducati bikes it unleashed the beast and was nigh on essential. What's the verdict on a full akrapovic system and how desirable is a remap/power commander.

Anyone got one fitted?

There are loads of us have done the whole thing with a remap. Is it worth it, yes as a bundle. if you were going to leave one thing out it would have to be the end can as it costs the most and has the least effect. The headers and remap will give you all the grunt you need, if you are looking for the last 3 hp at the top end that the can gives you are probably on the wrong bike.

Hi , I run Remus headers , akra end can also remapped by Hilltop , I find that the bike is running loads better , more grunt , better sound . Now , the power gains are not massive but a well set up bike is a winner , my mate has a standard bike which I can pull away from him out of corners and off the mark , top end , not much in it.
I'm glad I did it and would recommend it , as long as you don't mind the cost.
There will be many who will knock the Hilltop tune but ignore them ( full of wind and pisss , and not done it to there own bikes) , if your looking for a super fast GS you would have to go down the line of re profiled cams bla bla ......

Shotgun akra is hexhead .

SiRich, give hilltop a call, I've seen several GS WC bikes on his Dyno in stock trim make more power then a full akra bike .

Anyone got an opinion on the shotguns - he was having a problem listing them on Gumtree - didn't like the word shotgun in the advert!
