I am now running a full Akra system on my twin cam GS. It sound brill and this in one of the reasons why i bought it. The bike runs fine as is. Looking at some other threads there is a body of opinion that says with this set up it is best to fit a power commander. I have bought a PCV with a map installed for my set up. The unit appears easy to fit. So to my question. Is it better to get the map fine tuned once the unit is fitted ? If so have you guys any recommendations as to who to use. Reasonable traveling distance from Glasgow would be handy.

Thanks in advance Dario. :aidan

Try ERS racing at knockhill. He specialises in ducati and was recommended to me by the owner of Aprilia Performance in tamworth who is the only person who gets to touch my other toy.

Wee Bob Grant at Knockhill is also pretty good (Bob Grant Racing). I put my Mamola BCR to him a couple of years ago and he did a great job (I had put on Lennies, PC3, Billet K+N and a full Staintune system). Pretty weird seeing a bike on a rolling road for the first time though.

He took her for a few laps around knockhill after the Dyno runs had all be done and I can safely say that the bike had never been thrown around like he was doing, plus he cant be any more then about 8 stone soaking wet.:)

He was pretty busy at that time and I had to wait a couple of months to get a slot but he certainly knows his stuff and I have been very happy with the results.

Good luck.
