They all do that sirAround 160 miles it will plummet down to a couple of bars.
In other words, it's useless. Use your trip mileometer instead.

I jumped on the bike last night to be greeted with a yellow warning triangle and flashing 'fuel' message. It told me I had a range of 50 miles. Within 2 miles it was down to 30 and by 4 I was completely empty, allegedly!!
I had done about 170 miles....I put 16 litres in to fill up and guess what!!
The fecking thing still shows empty and I have these bloody lights flashing at me all the time.. I've done 90 miles since...no change.
This is complete crap BMW...I would expect this on a cheap chinese or Korean bike but this is the SECOND unit I've had fitted....
This bike is hemoraghaging money due to crap components and build quality..
the list of problems I've had is too big to fit on this Forum!!!
07 Plate 1200GS - 14k miles.... Well looked after (thats the really annoying bit!!)
Ahhhh...I feel better now!!![]()
Fuel gauges are only ever a rough guide.
