Thought I'd post this here as, although not done on my GS (I used my ZZR1400) its a good trip and, frankly, there were times on the rough roads when I thought I'd have been better off on the BMW!

Well here it is, after 2 weeks and 1100 or so miles... a full report with facts, figures, pictures, what to do and see, great rides and video plus links to the items we reviewed during the trip;

Weise Psycho Jeans
Weise Black Rain Gloves
Shark Evoline Flip Front
TCX Boots (update)
Weise Rain Suit
Weise Dynastar Evo Jacket (update)

Not all of these are complete yet but will be this next week. There are now 5 attached on-board videos linked from images at the bottom of the page. You can access the report in the Tour Section on Bigbikemad.com - follow the link in my signature.

Early April was the date for this years trip to Ireland - this time with just one bike, one rider and one pillion (Ein Volk, Ein Reich, Ein... er well, perhaps not). We took the mighty ZZR1400 and had two fantastic weeks, covering 1100 miles on Ireland's mad, beautiful and almost empty roads. We also took along several bits of new kit to review...

The sun shone, the sky was (mostly) blue and the Guinness was cool and dark. The bike didn't miss a beat, locals were simply great, and we had generally good experiences with the gear we took along to test.

A Ghost HD camera came along for the ride, so we'll be publishing videos as well as reviews of the gear alongside reports on what to see and where to stay. Ireland is truly one of the best biking destinations in the world, a largely undiscovered gem, and the South West is simply stunning. Catch a flavour here then book your ticket for the ferry. You won't be sorry.

I know.... but locals call it the Bunane Pass.

Thanks I did!

Dump the crap music, the sound of the ZZR would be much preferable, otherwise great report

In the end we decided to use the name Bunane Pass because its the nearest settlement of any size on the map and that would help people find it. But your comments noted, thanks.

In terms of music, yes, we'd prefer the bike sound too, but unfortunately we had a problem with the microphone so sound quality was poor. In terms of music quality - blame YouTube - its one of theirs!

Looks Fcuk all like a ride report I recognise!

And Arguing with 2 "locals" (despite Ritchie ak-chew-ally being an Import, at least he lives here!) about what you call something

After arguing with the site owner, Fella, you are really not doing yourself any favours about gaining respect or popularity!

Quite frankly apart from Aidan posting on this thread I never bother looking at your stuff any more You come across as a teenager with attitude rather than a motorcyclist!

Sorry Richie, that makes you a "Re-import" Aidan is it worth correcting for this "foreigner Johnny come home" fella??

:aidan

I take offence :aidan, family been here since 1812... I was just unluckily born abroad :blast

Mine have been here for a long time Our lot rowed over here in a big boat with oars and haven't left since

They must have yearned for water whilst as Our Clan were based in and around Garrison in Fair Fermanagh on the shores of Lough Erne

Lots of Viking stuff down here, Dursey Island, Black Ball Head, Bere Island doing a history course at the moment for tour guiding...
My family came from Cornwall to work in the Copper Mines here in Allihies, the worlds biggest producer in the mid 1800's interesting stuff and unique to Ireland buildings.
