A friend of ours is planning a bank holiday (August) trip down to North Devon, no idea as to where exactly, but it looks like they are going there to do a bit of surfing during the day, but evenings/ovenight looking to camp. I'm not interested in surfing, but thinking it will be a laugh in the evenings being together.

Therefore thinking I'll take the bike, and go play during the day, then come the evenings go back to the campsite and enjoy their company.

So heres where I'm after your help, what are the good fun roads in North Devon, that arn't likely to be fun of stupid people over the bank holiday (P.S. need all roads to be tarmac'd as have RS not GS)

Cheers All

Dave, send me a PM of when/where you are going to stay, and I'll tell you where to go, depending on what you want to do!

If you're coming to North Devon then call in here and say hello. I can show you lots of decent roads around here with no traffic and no speed cameras.

Wife and I were out yesterday on the XJR for a change - and went to turn off tha A399 onto the A39 towards Lynton - and the road was closed by the Police - seems a couple of bikers had had an accident, and the Air Ambulance was in attendance. Subsequently was told it was a double fatality.

Anyone know any further details? Very sad for those near and dear.
