FYI, Garmin 276c owners - problems with the track

I’ve noticed my 276c doesn’t always leave a continues trail of ‘bread crumbs’ as my other GPS’s have, it often forgets to drop bread crumbs, sometimes for over a mile and omitting to drop perhaps 4 to 8 points.
Thinking it was developing a fault I rang Garmin tech support UK who tell me it’s a known issue in America and will be fixed for the next firmware release.

Mine’s on firmware Ver. 3.20 as of March 15, 2005

Also heard of issues were the download of tracklogs fails.
Not sure if this is a tracklog issue or a download issue.

Hopefully it'll be sorted soonest.

Thankfully I don't use the track feature on my 276C.

It's always handy on the Etrex Vista though! (and what a great bit of kit that is for walking).
