G/S going back together

Im just getting my G/S back together after doing a bit of work on it .
Ive repainted the rear mudguard and just refitted it but the bracket on the front of the mudguard which attaches it to the battery holder is missing.
Ive contacted motorworks but they are unavailable so i was wondering if anybody could post a picture of one or of the assembly and i will make a bracket myself.

Long time ago since I owned a G/S....but here is photo from 2005 of one of mine. Not sure there was ever a bracket there !

There is two little stubs on the battery carrier,that the mudguard locates on,
If they have corroded a couple of small zip ties might be the solution..

Mine doesn't have them just the two hooks for the rubber retaining straps. Reckon "zip " tie is the solution. Thanks.

This is the bit for those that are interested.

This was well corroded into position on this bike so had become one with the frame.

Looks a bit different to mine which has two small hooks pointing to the rear and downwards.
