Hi Peeps

Just out of interest has anybody here fitted a new or relocated their existing oil cooler to the central/headstock position - BUT using the high mudguard as opposed to the suggested low guard. I seem to recollect some anecdotal comments somewhere about it being possible to squeeze it in (but having done a search) cant seem to find anything. I am thinking about a few upgrades to the steed but dont want to ditch the high guard for aesthetic reasons.

And I am aware of the pros and cons of coolers etc, this is just about "does it fit, can it fit, can it be made to fit etc" before I spring for the hardware.......

Anyone here?

Fitted an oil cooler centrally on my R100GS. The local hydraulic place made the lines. I drilled a bunch of holes (6mm) into the front guard to give some additional airflow. I also spaced the front guard down a little (used rubber grommets) to give additional clearance.

Thanks for info - I see you have what looks like a HPN fuel tank on as well, are there any clearance issues with the cooler and that? (im running that tank as well).

Cool, many thanks - great thread btw. Reminds me of my time in NZ (sadly no motorbikes then, but great country!)
