Hi Lee, do you intend to make enough of these to sell or is this an experiment...just curious![]()
The experimentation phase is behind me. They will be commercially available soon. I already made a small production of shrouds for the 1150GS and only await to receive my order for M4x55 stainless bolts to start offering them.
Price of the shroud kit will be $100.00cad / 67 Euros / 50 Brit pounds. That will NOT include the 4" Spal fan (part #30103018) which is made in Italy and equipes many makes of cars and bikes. I think some KTM runs Spal fans. Once I am ready, I will show the other kits I have for BMW bikes. ;-)

THisnis were most people don't understand that even if the rad core has a larger surface than the fan, that surface is blocked bu oil channels and fins. You'd be right if there was no obstruction. But it is not the case woth a radiator. You're losing a lot of efficiency because of the restriction.Well I was with you for a while, but now see that unless the fan is running it's more likely to overheat with that amount of restriction.
Ps This is the first fitment prototype. On the final production units, there will be opening and rubber flaps. Flaps that will automatically pushed if there's excess pressure within the shroud, and that will close by tehmselve when the fan is sucking air. KTM does that on the 950 and 990.
