G/S oil leak - any 2nd opinions welcome!

Hi guys

Was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on this?

Have BMW R100RS, with new rear oil seal leaking; this is the third oil seal in a year, engine is in good nick. Could it be pressure relief valve sticking or engine breather not working.

Have tried both types of oil seal, neither have worked.

Any help very much appreciated.

have you replaced the end boss on the crank? Sometimes the seal cuts a faint groove in it over time, once that's happened no amount of seal changing will cure it. it has also been known for the 'o' ring behind the boss to leak, giving similar symptoms. HTHY
