What a shame, repairable tho, take a while what with there being 4 or 5 of them.
 
So what would it take to put them right then? Drain and flush all fluids and oils and freshen up any grease or oil on bearings in wheels, cables, pivots and headstock? I'm guessing the clocks will be the biggest trouble spot?
 
If they were mine I'd want to do the complete strip, right down to the oilway plugs in the block. Sitting in 3m of muddy water the silt gets everywhere and will soon ruin bearings.

If you're trying to run a business on them as they are they've got to be reliable. It may give them a chance to do a full refurb with some financial insurance assistance!

I'm tempted by their terrain though with my own bike!

They will need completely stripping down pretty much as far as they will go. Electrics/electronics are likely to be irredeemably fecked, engines/transmissions need to be fully stripped, the list is virtually endless. Im not sure of my facts here but seem to recollect that if the water was contaminated with sewage then they may not even have the option of salvaging them, insurers (if they are insured) may be under a requirement to ensure they are destroyed. It could be different in France of course, but speaking from some anecdotal chat from a relative who was flooded out in the bad weather a couple of years ago - he wasn't allowed to have some of his possessions' repaired as they were contaminated, they were whipped away and destroyed.
 
Makes me cringe at the thought of all that grinding paste in the engine and gearbox. Mind some of the gearboxes I've rebuilt from some of you guys in the past weren't much better :D

The local Pikeys pinched my last Hilux and used it in a 'lets dig the cash machine out of the wall' job, when they'd emptied it they dumped the ATM and my truck in the Trent.

Police divers found it two days later, I could not get it back despite my best efforts (but I did get the best bits off it before it was scrapped)
 
They're posting videos of the refurbishment of all the machines. Looks like a total strip down, would be interesting to hear how insurance works on that, are they all a write off?
 
Well, in the eyes of some insurance companies they would be 'write off's', but don't forget everything on an airhead can be refurbished. It was only dirty water after all:eek:
