G450X New plastics under warranty

Had the bike serviced and the dealer replaced all the white plastics - side panels front and rear mudguards.Apparently the origanals were too brittle !!
Happy days - very glad I took it in for its service.May be worth contacting your dealer.I asked for the old ones back but they need to hang onto them in case BMW want to inspect the warranty claim.I guess a few will find they way onto e bay in time.

Strange sort of recall/warranty job as I suspect the majority will be rather scuffed by now. My bike has certainly had a few close encounters with beaches recently.

That reminds me, I never saw a recall for the thermostat either but I need some more oil filters so I will ask then.

the radiator switch is noy a recall as in that youre dealer will call you.
But with service the will replace it, probably without saying.bmw has 2 kinds odf recalls, if it concerns a danger then the will call you, if it is just a replacement of a part they do it when the buike is in for swervice.

I wonder if my plastick gets replaced?

Ok then if you are having your bike dealer serviced... but I'm not, using BMW parts I have been running my own services, I'll call the local dealer today and see where i stand.

What happens if you have new graphics kit fitted? do they get replaced as well?

The dealers demo bike had a speedbrain decal kit on and they said BMW had agreed to cover the cost of a new kit as part of the warranty swap.Well worth a try to get them to cover the decal costs I think.

They said it would be changed when the bike is in maintenace,
even if i didn,t said anything in maintenace they check the frame number and then the see wich recall has been don or not, its standard.
