G650 X Country - any good?

I liked the Remus ... any weight saving purely academic  A week off the bier would have saved the weight and money :D

Sounded good but I'm confident that it wasn't as smooth as the original silencer with the Kat removed .... I'm with JB on this one :thumb

The Remus 'Freeflow' front pipe certainly sounded nicer than stock, and with the standard de-catted box gave lovely sound with better all round performance.

Why sell? Rather than buy a new bike just spent some of my 'old age pension' on the couple of bikes that I have :rob

So treat myself to the full BMW Titanium Akrapovic system

Do you feel now like there is less heat coming from under the left leg with your new Akrapovic?

Just wondered if you have come up with any trickery to stop that plastic flappy thing from burning up on the aftermarket can,I think the original setup uses a sort of rubber stop.
Its more a problem when you take pillion but on a longer run leaves a black molten patch and will eventually burn through.

In reply to the original question ....

Just returned from a tour to the Black Forest, 1,700 miles or so, an assortment of bikes.

Three F800GS's
Three 1200GSA's
One 1150 GSA
One 1200RT
One Gold Wing 1800
One Honda D'ville

.... and Sue on her G650Xcountry :thumb

The little Xcountry stayed with the big bikes, did everything they did, but with 70+ to the gallon. It needed fuel every 100 to 120 miles but then ol' Gracie would be wanting a pee ;)

G650X loves the forest roads in the Black Mountains , having a cool off after a particularly hot ride , sadly on the way back . Num bum after 200 + miles only fault!
