G650 Xchallenge performance mods ?

Just got my G650 Xchallenge and I'm working on some cosmetic mods such as tail tidy, hand guards, exhaust etc.

What I would really like to know about is what performance mods you folks have done.

I'm looking to change the front sprocket down a tooth. I would like to change the air filter, but it appears k&n dont do one. Any other options here ?

The US guys replace the filter with a UNi Foam Filter which is actually Australian I think.

Touratech sell the foam unifilter.

The airbox mod is just removing the inner top cover for the airbox. I run mine like this and it does improve pick up a bit. No problem with water getting into the airbox.

Don't be tempted to run the bike without the radiator cap cover to get more air in. Mine was missing when I got the bike and I had problems with spray getting sucked into the airbox in the rain. The replacement only lasted a few months before it fell off too. I have now drilled a couple of small holes, in the cover and the radiator guard, and put a zip tie through to hold it in place.

A free breathing exhaust helps a lot (at the expense of some added noise). I bought a used remus end can on ebay. Big improvement and it saves your left leg getting cooked by the cat in the front of the standard can.

Did the Remus can fit to the header pipe easy, been checking the Leo Vince and Akrapovic diagrams and it looks like the header pipe funnels out to where it enters the std silencer.Did you have to adapt it?

No adaption required. The stock header heat shield bolts right on, use some locktight though. I bought mine secondhand and needed to buy a new gasket to go between the header and the silencer which was about £5 from my local bmw dealer.

Do you know the type of Remus can you bought,you mention not needing any adapter pipe,
did you manage to get it to exit behind the seat OK as the BMW catted silencer is damn long.

Take one of the two throttle springs off for a lighter faster throttle feel
