How did you have to modify the engine bars, Micky? I'm thinking of getting a centre stand, but also have the engine bars fitted.

Where the engine bars are mounted with a plate between the footrest mounting and the frame, they have a bit if an 'L' shaped bracket underneath, for strength I guess, just had to hacksawpart of it away, then file and tidy up, so as to make room. Sounds complicated but you'll see when you come to fit
The bolts supplied with the centre stand are long enough to allow for the engine bars plate being sandwiched between
As JB has said, the H&B stand looks like BMW original, had they fitted one
H&B don't supply a centre stand for the later post 2007 lower models
Hope this helps
Quick edit for Nutty ...
You can see here where the centre stand main chunky bracket fits behind the engine bar plate (the centre stand brackets have to be next to the frame) the engine bar plate has some steel bracketing that has to be relieved![]()
Fitted mine today to the XCh. Doesn't have the 'pedal' like the XCo ones above but works and looks great![]()

Didn't know they did them for the Xchallenge
Can you stick a couple of piccies on? I'm thinking there might be one or two on here that might be wanting to fit one

).Or you could could save weight, money, ground clearance lifts either front or rear wheel and can be used the same one on several bikes![]()

Now THAT I like...simple and looks like just the job.
Home made or bought?

Mine or Tim's?
Home made, works just fine. No substitute for a proper main stand of course ...

I like the idea of those but didn't have any channel around when I knocked this one up for use on the TATSame idea here, kick it straight and the wheel is up off the ground![]()
