I want a beefier boot than my Alpinestars Roam 2s.

If Alpinestars still made the Vector boot, I'd probably buy a pair in a flash.

But they don't, so after a bit of trawling, I've short-listed the Gaerne GX-1 Evo and O'Neal Element (either III or IV).

I want to spend less than €200.

Any of you guys got sufficient experience with either of these two boots to be in a position to offer opinions or comments on them?

Thanks guys.

This is for trail riding I guess?

That's a possibility, but they're for general riding. I've never felt comfy with the modest protection most road boots provide. My current Roam 2s are probably fine (in terms of protection) for the type of boot they are, but they're definitely the least protective / least beefy bike boots I've ever owned. Regardless of what bikes I've owned, my boots have always been beefier boots with off-road leanings: Sidi Tracker, Sidi Top Action, Alpinestars Vector. Never had issues with feel or control or off-bike comfort with any of them, except for buying a size too small in the Top Actions.

Forma Terrain ?

Look good and if they are as good as the Forma Adventure then they will be brilliant !!

They do look good. Inneresting...
