just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on safe 2 wheel parking close to the race village at the harbour . Most nearby streets seem to be closed off - which should mean loads of space once you get past the barriers. However, there's no substitute for local knowledge!

There's also an air show at salthill which may be worth a look too.

Anyone heading on the N 4 from dublin? If i'm taking the bike, i'm aiming to be hitting the M4 at kilcock around 9.00 so will keep an eye out.

Cheers .

G'day Luke

Are you going there to cool down? 25.7 degrees in Co Meath right now! Thanks again for offer. Will know more over this coming week which will give us an idea of what happens next. Glad I've been recently made self-employeed!!!

Re Galway, me and Ms Lovelace made it down there yesterday morning. Funny enough, traffic into the park and ride at Ballybrit was non-existent - all of it seemed to be on the road to Salthill which was tailed back from the roundabout after the racecourse! It was good to be on two wheels - even with pizza box panniers. Had a spin around - which was great and managed to get CCTV covered parking at The Harbour Hotel which was really great and very central, i.e. behind the main stage! Top guys there. What a sight the docks (or port!) was and all the way out to Salthill. The atmosphere and buzz around the place was fantastic.

The return of the boats was well staged ... apart from the live "band" - which was which brutal - and which drowned out most of the cool PA stuff. The amount of boats and support vessels was huge. Would be a fun event to be involved in. No doubt young Scott was having a whale of a time!

We might be down there again later in the week - I think there's a big send off planned for the racers at the weekend. Hard life this is working for one's self :JB!

Cheers
