Gap between Seat and Tank.

Just fitting all the body work to my rebuild project. Check out the pics. :D :D

However, I can't get the seat to fit properly so I suspect something is bent.
I have put a photo on for you to judge for your self, what do you reckon?

mine's like that too, it's shite. bmw should be ashamed :(

you're missing the gash bit of foam strip that bmw put on to take up a bit of the gap though.
 
Cookie, the bit of foam is there. I cut it off the old bashed up tank and stuck it on my lovely new silver painted tank with Bostik.

It's to stop water running straight down the tank, and collecting on your air filter cover/diagnostic plug

so it is. i had a quick look initially & took it as seam :rolleyes:

My far supirior 1100 don't got no foam strip and the gap twix tank and seat is the same as yours.............That looks incorrect........ Its the Hobgoblin, should ave another bottle somewhere... back soon.
