Just found the Garmin 2610 at Maplin ( not usually known for cheaper prices on GPS) but they have been reduced to £899 inc vat.

Could it be due to the fact that they can also look on the internet and see the prices in the USA?
BTW and on a similar vein the Nav 2 is being quoted at $1495 which adding delivery, import tax and VAT comes in at around £1020.

If you give them your e-mail address you can get another £40 voucher, bringing it down to £859, it's getting better
