Garmin 276C headphone jack??

I'd like to buy my first GPS unit. After doing some research It looks like the garmin 276C is one of the better units at present. Voice prompting on a motorcycle would seem to be an important feature, does this thing have a headphone jack or adapter to allow you to plug into a starcom or similar communication system to allow voice prompting through a speaker headset?

Yes, you can buy a Garmin part to power the unit on the bike and get a feed from the sound. If you check the picture below from my bike you'll see the 276c attached and the sound feed connector to the RHS of the Unit. The Unit itself does not have the plug in socket.

Thanks for the info commuter, how do you find the voice prompt, and the performance of the 276C. any negatives with this unit that I should be aware of?

Had a SPIII and a 2610 before and this is a cool unit. I like the track feature which will get you out of trouble if you need to backtrack and also the screen is a great size. I like mine so much that I have purchased the Europe sofeware from Garmin and the unit will be coming to live in UK.

I am not sure where you are, but I know there have been some deals with them coming to the end of this production life now that the 476c is around. Look out for some deals.

The next step after the 276C is not the 476C. It's the 278.

I don't bother with the audio from my 276c..Set the screen up so i know how far the next turn is..Find thats good enough ...Use it with audio in the car mind you
