I need some advice

I've got a Garmin 390 mounted just above my speedo.

Two questions :-

1. At the moment I've got all the wiring scrunched up with cable ties behind the oil cooler to get rid of it, because the power take-off is so close - is this a good idea, or is there a better way to route it?
2. One of the spring-loaded contacts at the plug mounting has "exploded", so it is cobbled up with silver paper taped on with Duck tape. Do I really have to pay £30 or so to Garmin to get a complete cable to replace, or can somebody tell me where can get just the "mounting plug end" to solder/join it to the lead to the power take-off?

Thanks for input

I would say that the cable tied cables would be fine as long as there are no severe kinks i.e. wrap the cable around a few fingers until you get a series of loops then wrap together. Just make sure that there is sufficient loose cable to allow bars to move etc. Not sure about the plug mounting though??!

I put the wiring in a bar bag until such time as I get around to hard-wiring it :thumb2
