Garmin 590LM

Hi Chaps,

Does anybody have any experience with on comments on the new 590LM?

Having had my Zumo 500 for 6 years plus I feel an update coming on, I looked at the 350LM last
year but the extra bike mount kits I thought were a bit OTT at £70+ each whereas the 590LM is
a little more reasonable at £35.

Have no personal experience (use a 660 myself), but have a look on zumo forums. Some comments are not too favourable.

Bit of a learning curve after the 550 and you pay lots for apps that are not really necessary such as camera operation, traffic info, weather etc. all of which is easier to do/find by other means.

Does what it should, but pricey

It will NOT. I was at a friends house today who has a new R1200GS with the BMW Nav V. While the cradle looked similar, the 590 would not fit the cradle. It's a bit bigger....
