My 60csx is residing somewhere beneath the waters of the old bourne in hertfordshire :blast

Ive loved these gps's for years.

I'm thinking of getting another courtesy of house insurance, however is there something better out there now ?

needs to be mounted on a pogo, needs to have routing and NEEDS TO BE WATERPROOF !!!

thoughts ?

SWMBO got me the 62s for xmas with OS maps for the whole UK, i've only used it a couple of times but it seems to be very good - :thumb

any idea if its the same size as the 60csx would it fit in the same cradle ?

unfortunately it would need a different cradle, I got a plastic garmin mount off Amazon for £10 that works a treat.

CSX60 v 62

There are some good deals on the csx60 is the 62 much better? in the spec it states you cannot add SD cards whereas the csx 60 only works from sd cards is this correct?

I am looking at exactly the same issue.

A new 60CSX can be had for c £175 (off E-bay); a 62S for £232 (from Handtec). Unless the 62S is substantially less robust, and despite moving from a 4 pin connector to a mini usb my conclusion is that for the small price premium the 62S is the better long-term bet.
