garmin 60csx hardwire issue?????

Guys anyone come across this before, 60csx unit works fine on AA batts also works fine connected to PC via USB with or without batts. Hardwired to my bike checked the power feed into and out of cable ie the end that would plug into the unit and thats ok as well. However the unit will not accept power from the power lead - it works ok on batts but will not show external power symbol - without batts nothing zilch a piece of dead plastic - useless kin thing ......?????

there was someone on here the other day with a gpmap60csx that blew fuses, i wonder if there's some faulty power input on these units?

Starting the engine with the GPS already running was my problem - the inline fuse would blow - solution.....

Stop engine, stop GPS'en - start engine, start GPS'en

The rest of the hols were fine
