garmin 660

hello,
can anybody help?
just took a garmin 400 off my gsa to replace with a 660 to match up with a autocom. the original 440 was wired to the power source under the front headlight so i replaced the 660 wiring into this hub but no power tothe garmin? any thoughts???

1. Is the 660 new? Ie. Does it work on it's internal battery?

2. Recheck the wiring loom from the the underbeak socket right up to the cradle.

3. Does the 660 work if you attach it to a cradle on another bike, or try it in a car?

4. Suspect the cradle, as there are reports of some being duff.

5. You have turned the ignition on, haven't you? Please say, yes.

You may need to run the bike to get the power up if its the can bus system.

1. yes it is new
2. wiring loom is ok as it poweres the other garmin
3. dont know havent got another bike to try it on and dont have car cradle either ( which i intend to sort out)
4. dufff cradles? dont know? has there been a recall on these or is it just the odd one thats duff?
5. ignition? er...... yes im not that saft!!

ive checked power source and this is ok so.........
think i might have problem with the cradle.
i could do with trying my garmin on another cradle so does anybody live near stourbridge that has a 660 garmin that i could try mine on???:

yes richard the 400 is fine, i just bought this 660 so as i could connect my phone via bluetooth so yes it all works and is for sale if you want it
