It is waterproof, and it's very suitable for a motorcycle. You will need to buy a mounting bracket and a power cable for it (both of those are available in a kit from Garmin for about US $50), then you will need to get some kind of third party device to attach the mounting bracket to your motorcycle. RAM makes various bits that can be used for this purpose. Budget about US $100 for the complete motorcycle install. The process is quite simple, it is not at all difficult to install it. You might want to take a look at some installs that other forum members have done, using the same GPSR, before you start in on your own bike.
BTW, check the map version that comes with that GPSR. Version 7 maps are current. If it has earlier version maps (e.g. version 6), you will need to consider the cost of a map upgrade, and adjust your purchase price accordingly.
