I've got two of these leads (one on bike & one in sidecar) got them all wired up and working fine until the outfit was moving, then I get intermittent audio coming through.
At first I thought it was to do with the jack plug connection as that seemed loose and when fiddled with the audio came back.
Further investigation shows that the fault seems to be in the lead(s) connection to the jack socket and that vibration and general bouncing over our well maintained roads causes audio breakdown.
So my question is, has anybody else had this problem, or am I just really unlucky to get the same problem twice? After all, they are made for motorcycles aren't they? That'll teach me to do a really nice neat job and tuck and hide the cables neatly out of the way, won't it?
Looks like the cable supplier will be getting a call on Monday - hopefully I'll get it all sorted by the beginning of June (or I'm in deep doo-doo with SWMBO's navigating :D )

I had an intermittent audio problem which turned into a complete failure when I was 300 miles away from being able to do anything about it - turned out to be the earpiece itself - not the wire to the earpiece but the actual speaker bit. No idea what happened to it, and a continuity tester showed it was completely dead (there is a coil between the terminals, so from the POV of DC it's just a simple connection, so you should get a beep).

Dealer replaced it under warranty and I've had no problem since.
