Any ideas were to put a Garmin Motorcycle Mount on a 1150 GS  Will I need any other brackets or fixings other than the parts supplied ?

every one will say the same "MIGSIL" not sure of the spelling now I think about it!

Yup MiGSel is your man. He makes a mean mounting that uses the speedo housing combined with a RAM mount.
You can email him at [email protected] and read more about it by clicking

A brill way to mount it for sure....

Can we clarify things a bit please ?

Last time I looked MigSel does not sell a mount.
What he does sell is a popular around speedo base bracket with RAM ball.

If you have a Garmin SP2610 motorcycle cradle/bracket and you decide to use MigSels base then you also need;
a 2 1/2 inch round RAM ball base (and screws) to attach to the Garmin cradle
and a RAM arm (available in 3 lengths)

Note I am talking about the additional purchase motorcycle cradle/bracket not the standard SP2610 bracket.

Yes indeed, "my" mount is this:

It ends at the 1" RAM ball.

There is a version for the 1100GS too. Again, it's just the speedo ring + the 1" RAM ball.

Starting from the 1" RAM ball, you can mount whatever you like.

Some useful RAM bits are summed up in this thread.

But there are LOTS more on the RAM site.

Cheers,
Michel

Did some one mention MiGSel?

Cheers guys’ thanks for the link. Just received the mount this morning and all ready on the bike (with the help of Michel’s step by step photo instructions) and ready to go out to play in the Welsh hills

Thanks again, Steve
