There seems to be a world shortage of the Garmin Motorcylce Mounting kits :( I have a brand new 2720, a brand new RAM mount fitted to my GS and all I'm missing is the mounting kit with power cable etc. I have one on order with blokesstuff.com but no sign of it coming in. I tried globalpositioning and it seemed to be the same problem.

Does anyone know where they are in stock?

If not does anyone know what the problem is?

Regards

Nigel

I'm in the same boat as you, 2720, Ram mount but no cradle/power audio lead. I too am waiting for one from Blokesstuff.

Cheers, Colin.

There out of stock and have a big backlog. Unfortunaltey they don't have any delivery dates, the guy was helpful enough but couldn't give us the answers we want.

I possibly might suggest purchasing it from europe or america they're used all over the world so there must be someone who has them.

try http://www.gpscentral.ca/index.htm

Hope this helps

Oh well, suppose I better sit tight and plot some more routes then. Thanks for the help, feel slightly better now. :(

Just cancelled my order from blokestuff one on its way from Amazon for delivery in 2 days and £10 quid cheaper, hurry there's only two left.

I haven't found a single supplier in the UK.

I tried to get one via a mate in California - no luck. It appears they are waiting for supplies from Taiwan.

Garmin UK know about the problem bu there's little they can do.

Tell you what - I would not rely on Amazon, they're delivery estimates are not reliable. Mind, I'd be happy for you if you proved me wrong!

Damn, missed the ebay info.

Oh well my auxillary plugs arrived from Touratech yesterday so I now have a GPS, a RAM mount (fitted) and the power plug for the auxillary socket. But I still can't use it on the bike as I'm missing the cradle and cable etc.

Still it works in the car and I feel I'm getting to know mapsource!

Just had an email from Amazon saying the mount has been despatched 1st class using Royal Mail, so it's looking good :)

Great news for me too, the mount arrived this morning.

Thanks blokestuff.com would recommend them, keep you informed reply to e-mails stick to what they say.

Now to fit the baby...

Hi

Ram mount could help. I got mine from mnc but globalpositioningsystems.co.uk also stock. You will need the electric plug to make a neat job as the kit comes bare wire.
