Garmin Quest...latest version?

Like many I bought a Dixon's special with V6 map-source. I have not registered it yet as I believe V8 is due out shortly.

Any one heard any news about this or am I better registering and getting the V7?

Garmin rep at the Basingstoke GPS show yesterday said it would be out in December
