ive just been offered a new garmin quest for 275 ... is this a good deal and does anyone know what ill need to get to install and where from ???

IF it comes with Atlantic base map (as opposed to the American one) and IF it comes with all the normal bits (car mount, cradle, charger, leads) and IF it comes with City Select 7 (the latest version) then, yes, it's a very good price.

On top of that, for bike use you'll need a mount of some sort (migsel mount is the smartest IMO, or RAM products) and arm and a bike cradle (touratech, ram or garmin)....and a power/audio lead if you want to connect the unit to bike power and get audio to your helmet/autocom.

There are many mounts, several leads and brackets, best bet id do a search using those keywords and settle back to read and decide on price, location, availability and how you want it to look.

Good luck!

PS if it's a retail outlet, where are you getting hat price from???

I'm sure many will want to know.

PS Price it all up...there are all-inclusive bundles that give you all the things above.

HTH

PS get your arse along to Eynsford tommorrow night and you're welcome to peruse the various options as mounted on several bikes that will be there......the down side of course is that there will be various tossers there ;)

Best retail price I have seen for a Quest is £330 ... so yes that's a good deal if it's the whole package as Fanum says.

If it is retail, please let us know :)

Yes, indeed, if it's the full European package then it's a good deal - let us know from where! :D
