Yes.
It's obsolescent now, having been effectively replaced by the 2610. It has a slower processor than the 2610 so takes longer to calculate routes and re-draw the screen. It also uses a dedicated Garmin memory card, the largest of which is only 256 Mb and which is comparatively expensive.
If it's worth £299 to you then it's worth it. Suffice to say that I paid about £600 for mine just over a year ago from a cash 'n' carry so that was cheap at the time.
What do you mean "what do they look like on the bike?" ? It's a piece of electronic equipment designed to perform a function. I can understand wanting to know what the display looks like but other than that it's not s'posed to be a fashion accessory you know.
