Garmin Street Pilot 7200 ....

Do you mean a 2700 James?

I have been using a 2720 for a couple of years now without any problems and prefer it to the more modern units which seem to be less customisable. At that money it has to be worth a punt. :thumb2

Cheers lads , iv'e got a Zumo but it needs a map upgrade so thought a unit just for the van at £90 would be worth it if it had upto date mapping ... :bounce1

I'll see if i can get him to drop the price ................. :augie

Oi, Jam-mez .. ave you been talking to BHT:rolleyes: .. as your on the same wavelength  , he was talking £100 from amazon.

No longer in production and end of line AFAIK.

BHT ask me about the mounting it, in his Jap 4x4 metalic monster, and its simple enough to adapt with round base and scre pack onto the Garmin cradle, but keep below dash height until outside if blighty.

I got one for the Landy - great value I thought. The mapping it comes with is NT9 so not the latest. While it has a big screen, it's not the highest resolution although it doesn't bother me.

So I'm very pleased with my purchase - takes SD cards for loading maps and/or media. Seeing the bigger map is great. Totally touch screen with no buttons works out nice. And the supplied, self adhesive dash mount worked a treat in our Landy.

I was under the impression that if you bought a new Garmin you automatically qualify for an update to the current mapping? Maybe that's no longer the case? I would assume that you have to register the device under your myGarmin account first though and do this within a certain time frame.
