Garmin Support for older units

Just adding this as it may be of interest to any users of older BMW Nav units:-

I can confirm that we do indeed still support the BMW Nav III, we offer seven years full support on the unit. The returns process slightly differs with BMW devices. In order to arrange a replacement you would need to contact your local BMW dealer for assistance, who would send the unit into us on your behalf.

If they deem the device to be within warranty they would need to replace it with their own stock. If they deem the device to be out of warranty they will arrange to book in the faulty unit for you and a fixed rate charge of £118.81 including VAT will be required. Our replacement devices are supplied with a 90 day warranty.

We replace devices like for like. In cases where the replacement is out of stock, we will replace with the closest possible upgrade.
