Hi

so on the issue of my 660 cradle not working correctly I logged an issue on Garmin web site. So I went into "My Garmin" on the web site today, but lost as to how to see if it has been allocated / if there are any updates (I'm not actually expecting anything this early, but you get my point I hope!!).

So how do I see the issue I have raised on the web site?

cheers

Garmin will contact you by email as to the resolve.

I read your other post about the audio and I see your unit works in your friends bike. It sounds to me like your cradle is not getting power. If it is not getting power no matter what you do or what you test the audio will come out of the internal speaker.

Heres a good check to see if you are getting power:
If the key controls your power turn on your key and watch the Zumo. It should turn on automatically. If it does not turn on you are not getting power to the cradle and you should check the fuse.
You should be able to turn off the key and get a message asking if you want to keep the power on battery.

If the key does not control the power and it is hot all the time then just putting your Zumo in the cradle should power it up and removing it should give you the message to turn off or stay on

Also you should have no battery icon if the cradle has power

the cradle had power as the Zumo switches on when the bike switches on, and I get the "shutting down in 30 secs stay on/Turn off" when I switch the bike off.

I have now had a mail from Garmin (Emma Z who was VERY helpful and asked for the cradle to be returned) as it seems the cradle is faulty. Also now I have a mail from Garmin I can see the issue via the RMA number.

looks like the usual excellent Garmin service once someone takes it on. And to be honest for this level of priority a day's turn around from the web submission is fine - the only improvement would be to be able to see the issue on the web site once sent.

cheers

Excellent Markie. Keep us posted when you get the new cradle installed
