It is odd that Garmin doesn’t make Tread available to XT and / or Bluetooth sharing available to XT2. In a sense, it pushes some people towards something like MyRoute, through which GPX files can be exchanged across multiple devices from various manufacturers. Whether the whole lot will lose out to ‘Carplay’ Apple / Google remains to be seen. The technology is moving really fast. Anyone remember telegrams, telexes, faxes…… all cutting edge stuff at the time.
