just a bit of info please,i have my zumo 660 fixed to my bmw mount,first when in motorcycle mode no voice can be heard,if i get some ear phones to plug in the side of the zumo will i be able to hear the directions,also if i get a micro sd card and download some music to to sd card when installed in the zumo will i also be able to listern to music through the earphones when riding.

You should be able to hear voice directions over the internal speaker. Alternatively Bluetooth it for all your direction, music and phone needs

I'm new to the 660 but I thought I read in bike mode internal speaker is disabled or when on bike mount but not car mount.

thats correct mate,you wont hear anything when on the bike mount,but will on the car mount,but as i have been advised ,with headphones ,earspeekers you will hear directions aswell on your bike,and music if you download it to your micro sd card.
