Apologies if this is discussed anywhere else, but the forum won't let me search for the word 'gas'!

We use a trangia for our cooking during trips and have the adaptor to screw on to coleman gas cannisters (among others). We also have the MSR pocket rocket as a second burner which uses the same gas.

I've searched for 'availability in France' as we're going soon, and although the outlook isn't good the posts seem to be a couple of years old.

Anyone have more recent experience of how readily available they are in France?

My experience is that it can be harder to find the "screw in" type of gas cylinders in Western Europe than in UK so we have a Markill adapter that allows the use of Camping Gaz pierce type cylinders which can be found everywhere.

Although I have found Trangias good for backpacking, on the bike i like my Primus Multifuel as in addition to screw on gas and Camping Gaz i can also run it from petrol taken from the bike tank.

When i went last year , France/Spain, i was unable to locate any Colman gas cartridges:blast
