I have recently purchased a new end can (SS) and y piece from remus for my GSA 05 model.It now appears the newly designed can has been redesigned to allow for hot emission related problems on bikes fitted with BMW alloy luggage ie it now fits slightly closer to the bike .In altering this design the 'neck' of the can (where it joins the y piece) has been extended by some 2 inches and does not alloy the flush fitting of the standard chrome heat shield due its elongated neck - the chrome shield is curved at the end.This leaves the joint + clamp totally visible and somewhat untidy in apperance - the only way to fit the chrome cover is to fit it at the joint leaving it some 2 inches from the can - the elongated neck is a smaller diameter than the join.
Remus semmed unaware of this yet apparently have sold some 40 cans...anybody else with the problem ? I have been to a dealer and he acknowledges the problem...I'm sending photos to remus.
