gear assist pro on lc

Just an update on this - bike went back to dealer today, and with the help of Technical they have diagnosed a faulty clutch switch. Being replaced in about a weeks time.

(As a courtesy bike they gave me a C600 scooter - it was rubbish! My tmax is loads better)

So I had the clutch switch replaced last week, since when I haven't had the problem. I haven't done loads of miles since, but I was previously getting the fault about once every time I rode the bike, so ... so far, so good!

Downshifts all the way to first are superb. I find upshifting very good but not quite as good as the downshifts in the lower gears eg when going from 2 to 3 and I find manual shifting from 1 to 2 smoother. 3 upwards is great.

NOW I see what u guys are raving on about, bike went back to dealers, they fitted a new gear shift switch (the bit on the selector shaft) I think they recoded it too, but 100% slick operation after a 300 mile ride & also a short 20 miler..
Wow.. Slick... Happy..

On way to the Pyrenees, aboard the Pont Avon for anyone who knows it, bike behaving perfectly.. Yay..

I ordered one myself this week but the dealer is telling me he's got the hardware but I'm now the 7th person in line waiting for the download. Apparently they're chasing BMW once a week but there's nothing coming through. :(

I had the clutch switch replaced on mine a few days ago, all was fine for 325m but now it is faulting again, twice yesterday and once this morning. The bike is back at the dealers tomorrow so let's see what they come up with next.

So, most dealers ain't got a bloody clue what they're doing?

There's a surprise!:D Thank goodness this is now a factory option:thumb

I did wonder about the clutch switch being faulty, but I assumed it would have kicked the cruise control off or not even allowed to engage cruise occasionally if there might av been a problem with it...

Just done another 4 hour ride in traffic/town environment & it's still perfect.. Yay

How much you guys paying to retrofit GSAP? Here in Oz I have just been quoted AU$1150 (650 pounds) for my new 14 GSW.

I just ordered GSAP as a factory option on a 15 GS, was AU$600 (340 GBP).

Are those £350 and £360 prices a retro-fit to an old bike rather than a factory-fit option? Am I being done? :(

£350 fitted to a 6 month old bike, I was quoted lots less for a factory fit option last week..
All fitted & software downloaded, now working VERY well..👍
