I've picked up a footrest lowering kit and will possibly need to move the gear lever down slightly.
Does anyone know what size of female Torx socket fits the bolt that clamps the gear lever?
Any advice on lowering the rear brake pedal from those experienced would be helpful, too.

Seem to remember e8, changed mine for a normal Allen key head when I did mine (wunderlich lowering pegs fitted)

Cheers. The Allen key head sounds like a good idea. It doesn't look like it'll take much abuse and I've some new stainless ones that'll fit.

If you haven't got the correct torx socket, a 1/4" A/F socket fits it (the driver for screwdriver bit inserts).

And i bet you found that out just by using your common sense and without having to ask on the internet.

Something like that ;)
I didn't have a small enough torx socket so I had a dig through the small sockets I had until I discovered that the 1/4" one fitted - happy days :)

Probably would have tried that this evening. But with my luck the bolt head would have rounded!
Think it's the only female torx bolt that I can see, so would be reluctant to buy a socket for a once only unless I had to.

That's why I tried other sockets. A 1/4" AF hex bit driver is a good fit - I've had my gear lever on and off several times with one.
