Gear Potentiometer - No neutral light

R1200RT (2007) before anyone asks - potentiometer is the T shape not the D.

This has been bugging me a while so I decided to remove and clean the gear potentiometer and electrical contacts and then put it back then reset adaptations using the GS911.

Went through all the gears etc more than 10 seconds in each then turned off the bike to store those setting.
Still no neutral light, I see the occasional glimpse of the green light so I know the bulb works, wiggling cables doesn't seem to do anything either.

Is it gear potentiometer or should I be looking else where?

Ended up replacing the gear potentiometer from the one off my project bike, now all working, at least the good weather made the job more tolerable even though it was very frustrating getting into the small space.
