lot of discussion about sealed bearings in gearboxes on other sites - I guess being a 'nation of shop keepers' we are not that interested.
Some people mention the fact that some Renaults and the new mini also have sealed bearings.
and tonight in the pub I'm told that mini gearboxes are a common fail.
I guess I will have to assume BMW know more about it than web users
