gearbox oil check

hiya peeps,am i right in saying to check gearbox oil level bike has to be on centre stand

no, but it has to be upright and vertical, the main stand being the easiest way of achieving this

Sounds like a good idea to me.
Or you could try holding it upright as you check the level.

If you are going to check it you might just as well change it.

But get it hot first.
