Time before last I was in there I did the shaft and all was AOK, no missing alloy.
Last job done on it, by ANOther who I think I've just lost face in then, was a new clutch and gaiter as I was too busy planning the South America jaunt and therefore didn't do it myself...
No how many times have I been dissappointed by a job done elsewhere
I wonder if the box got dropped on floor...very poor if stuck together like that with no comment to me though - I think your comments are correct on the damage not being new (loss of flange sleeve)
All that said, I'd trust those on here to do the job

I've got a s/h box coming which I'll stick on, and I hope to strip this box myself and see what the damage is. Likely interested in a replacement end plate Garry.

- and depending how it goes, maybe the whole job
