i'll be damned, i'll have to check that when i get home tonight. always thought the only serial number on the motor was next to the oil filler hole. you don't suppose thats a european bike only thing, eh?

the glass beads are fine. If in doubt have a go at the inside of the alternator cover or on a spare part. I have done 3 or 4 BMs this way and apart from the mess and the risk of beads getting into the wrong spots am happy to keep doing it. Best way to clean hubs that I know.
Have also done wet soda blasting thru a cheap sand blast gun using bicarbonate soda available from a pool shop-still messy but wet and messy:)

Hi Pack, mine was bought in Germany by the first owner (a submariner...)
 
group photo from the bee hive. picked the third one up sunday. sold the one in the middle, the funds from it paid for the other two.
