Gel Seat Pads

I've not heard of this company before, might be interesting for some one looking for a cheaper alternative to Airhawk pads. http://www.danmedicasouth.co.uk/

I bought one for my F650GS. It's the worst seat I have experienced. I love the bike, but like last week, travelling from Stirling to Banbury, via Peterborough, over 400 miles my bum aches. The one I bought comes in a cover with velcro strips which pass under the seat. Excellent. You can take the gel pad out if you wanted it put into the upholstery.

I find mine helps quite a bit but I still wish the original seat was more comfty.

Of course, it could just be the shape/size/thickness of my bum that wrong!!

I bought one for my Harley Sportster (yes, Dr Tutu, I cannot deny the awful truth...). It did improve the rock-hard standard seat, but not as much as I hoped for. Just about worth the money and effort IMO

If you are thinking of fitting under OEM seat cover, you might consider the gel sheet at £99 and go the whole hog.

On the other hand have a lookie here Tony Archer seats

Its a poor web site for a very highly recommended one man band. Excellent VFM

So...now guys that you probably ( and I hope!!) have tested the gel seat pad can you tell us your opinion?? does it worth the money? is doing its work??
I am planning to buy it as when I start riding I forgot to came off but I want some feedback for that....Airhawk can it be the best option but not with the best value, inner seat pad are nice but I don't want something permanent and as for the sheepskins...they bring something different out of me....::pullface:pullface

I bought a Danmedica gel pad for my F650 single last year. It would have been too tall to strap on the top so I took a carving knife to the foam and modified it to fit, was super duper comfy for a 4.5k miles round Morocco and back. The gel sat on the plastic ribs of the bottom of the seat yet there was no vibration or 'princess and the pea' syndrome.

Now have a F650 twin and have just (about an hour ago) got my seat back from Tony Archer, very pleased with the look and shape of it but as yet haven't managed to try it out, I had a gel pad fitted as the last one was so good.
