Well it was a fine night so I thought I'd make the most of it.

Stuck in the house working all day, it would be rude not to.
Dusted down the Gentleman's Express, hit the button and we're off.

Gentle ride up to Brecon for some chip's, felt just like the 70's again :D

Brings back lots of memories.

Had a good run yesterday too too, finally managed to pack in work last week - I have been back in on contract since I retired two months ago.

Dug out the 75/7, had a set of IRC Durotour 310R S fitted first thing then scuffed them in with a run down to the Cape (Jarvis) , on a perfect crisp winters day, 22C , not a breath of wind, or a cloud in the sky, and the countryside ablaze with the blossom of the early fruit trees.

The IRCs are the OEM size, and work well at the old pressures too, which helps the suspension cope with the occasional dirt road detour.
Recommended, almost half the price of the NLA Macs they replaced and work better for me.

Took my R100RS out the other day too. It just feels so right. Very slow compared to modern machines but better suited to real world conditions. On empty Devon roads, 70 - 90 mph feels plenty fast enough and I don't need the 150mph of my old R1.

Perhaps I'm just getting old and slow?

There must have been something in the air last night Paul, because the wife suggested we take the bike down to Saundersfoot for chips too.

The lovely sweeping 4 mile stretch between Red Roses and Llanddowror was so good, we nearly turned round and did it again. :D

Thats sounds like full blown summer in these here parts.:D

If the weather isn't too wet on the weekend (Bank holiday Monday) a trip to North Wales is on the cards.

Sid, Your right 70-90 is perfect, smooths out nicely. :thumb2

I had to go and collect a ZZR1400 from Ammanford and take it to Barnsley on Tuesday, 97 miles was the most I managed in one go, what a lunatic machine! Mega in a straight line but not so good in the twisties and not really very comfortable, got the Mono out when I got home, what a pleasure. (You could lose your licence too easily on a ZZR)

Took the RS up to North Wales today, 313 miles in total and it behaved perfectly.

Brecon-Crossgate (breakfast) Bala-Betws-y-coed them home via Dolgellai-l
Langurig-Rhyader-Brecon then home.

I'm knackered now

Left at 10ish this morning and back at about 6.30
