Genuine cool cover advice

Apologies for hijacking the thread, but do people find them comfortable over long distances? I currently have an Airhawk cover for long days which whilst it does the business, I don't like the way it moves about under my backside and I'd certainly never leave it attached to the saddle overnight if I was staying away, so I'm thinking about a Cool Cover (or copy) instead. Anyone had both and got a comparison?

I have to say its subjective to be honest

I have a cool cover copy type https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0927BP4VV/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I believe I can ride for longer using it. It certainly doesn't do what you mention (I also have a Airhawk and removed it because I feel a bit unsafe as didn't like how I moved) so in that way its better than the Airhawk.

Yes. In fact they are great!!! Especially when it is pissing it down, you not sat directly in the puddle.

Also a nice breeze between your arse and the seat. You are sat, but it feels like you are levitating by a few mm

Whilst I’ve not ridden long days. I have ridden a good few 350-400 mile days since fitting my cool cover. It does make a difference as it keeps your arse cool. This certainly seems to be more comfortable. I’ll be doing a decent couple of rides (500-550 miles) in August. Last year, pre cool cover I was getting numb bum on these longer days. I’m hoping the cool cover helps.

So, the Cool Cover arrived midweek and yesterday I did a 280mile trip from Shrewsbury to Lincoln & back. So some initial thoughts.

a. Fitting was literally a five minute jobbie. No problems, everything just fitted.
b. Initial comfort felt okay, no movement, you couldn't feel the mesh and perhaps a slightly softer feel, maybe.
c. If was already about 15c when left home and got up to 24c by mid afternoon. I know they talk about 'air conditioning' for your arse, but behind all the bodywork on an RT I can't honestly say it felt any different. That said, I had my mesh riding suit on today so generally thing were more breezy than the Gore-Tex Textiles that I've used almost exclusively for the last six months so difficult to say really.
d.The nearest rain was in the next country today so I can't comment what they say about you not sitting in a puddle or otherwise is true.
e. Comfort. Definitely more comfortable than the naked saddle, for the initial part part of the ride anyway, the second half and we're talking getting into 200mile plus territory here, still more comfortable than not having it, but I think the Airhawk has it for comfort. BUT, getting the pressure right on the Airhawk seems to need be trial & error each time, you can't really leave them on all the time and they look bloody awful.

Bottom line. I'm going to leave the Cool Cover on for general riding, but in a few weeks time I've got the RBLR 1,000miles in 24hrs on and the Airhawk whilst may not be on for the ride to the start, I think will be on for the ride itself.

Thanks for all advice . Tried the coolcover tried the air hawk seat but decided to buy gel padded pants did 342 miles perfect

For what it's worth. I used to get baboon arse after an hour in the saddle. I got my saddle pad levelled out with a harder foam ,I put an Alaska sheepskin butt pad and a cool cover on and I can now ride for ages. I leave the sheepskin on all year round as it dries out very quickly ( Have you ever seen a sheep with a cold)😃
